Hi, I’m Brian! I feel truly blessed to do what I love every day and support my family doing it.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where my grandfather first taught me art. At age nine, my family moved to Orlando, Florida, and Walt Disney’s magic sparked my dream of becoming an illustrator. I earned my BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1998 and have been a full-time working artist ever since — yes, since the 1900s!
While still in college, I was hired as a character artist at The Walt Disney Company and was mentored by the late Disney Legend Ralph Kent. After six great years with Disney in Florida and France, I moved to Tennessee to pursue new opportunities.
I’ve now spent over 11 years in the video game industry. Starting at NC2 Media creating 2D art and animation for casual games, then at Traega Entertainment I moved from 2D Character & UI Artist into 3D character work and generalist roles. I later joined Amazon Games as a character artist, animator, and conceptual artist, and I currently work as a Senior Artist & Animator at Electronic Arts / Pogo.com.
I’m a Character Designer, Illustrator, Art Director, and mentor who loves creating expressive, story-driven characters and polished, production-ready visuals for games and licensed properties. I also support art direction by helping define visual style and guiding character development across teams of multi disciplines and multiple countries.
I’m highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, and After Effects. I also work with ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal, and Unity. I have adapted and learned to use new programs, tools and A.I. work flows as this industry continues to evolve, while maintaining a level of integrity that only a real, live artist can produce.
I live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee with my wonderful wife Melody and our three amazing children.
Thanks for stopping by — feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
